Matt Zacher (pix below) went to PA to try a new dirt track and ended up 1st on the 125 (his first 125 win) and 3rd on the 250 four stroke. According to Matt, "It felt great to go to a new track in a different state and do well." On Sunday, he skipped the four stroke class as the bike is really not set up to be competitive for racing. Matt had another stellar day and ended up a double main winner again in both the 85 & 125 classes. Matt said, "My starts on the 85 were right on, and I took the hole shot in both the heat and main. The 125 was a different story. I have some work to do. I ended up last off the line and had to work hard to get to the front. I passed for the lead on the last lap to take the checkered flag."
Thanks to my Dad for taking me down to race. I dedicate my wins to you. Happy Fathers Day!
Supermoto; Brandon "Showtime" Shelstad participated in his first supermoto event this weekend. Brandon was entered in the 85cc class and the open Novice class. He finished first place overall in the 85cc main event and second place overall in the in the open novice main. In the open novice main he had an epic battle with a rider on a 450cc bike for 6 of the seven laps. But ib the end the 450 was just to much horse power to keep at bay. Our first Super Moto experience was fun and a great training tool for TT racing at DuQuoin.

Road Race; Nick McFadden wrapped up the WERA Mid-Central Region #1 title last weekend at the Talladega GP. Nick's point advantage was enough for the lead even though there is one race to go at the Nashville SuperSpeedway next month.
Nick, who turned 10 years old Sunday, remains undefeated in several WERA Regions. He will focus on getting ready for the WERA/AMA Grand Championships at Mid-Ohio in September.

Dirt Track; Tim Wells and Fly'n Ryan Wells took to the half mile in Rochester NH this weekend and devastated the field of 80's and 50cc bikes. Ryan was on the gas in both the day program and even more so during the special 85cc race in the evening. Timmy "the Timinator" Wells got two hole shots and won the 50cc class by going way out front. On his 65cc, Tim took a second place finish and was improving all day long. The evening 85cc program had Ryan grab the lead coming out of turn two and never looked back. He won by over a half a lap and even lapped one rider on his way to his second consecutive Rochester win.
In addition we brought a set of leathers for New England 85/125 hot shoe Alex Theibeault. They fit him perfectly. In the evening heat race Alex blew up his 85cc motor and Pete Giamolvo asked if we could help. Ryan and his dad Dave Wells agreed to let Alex ride Ryan's winning day bike, a DTX CR 85. Alex had a big smile on his face when he brought the bike over to his pit and did an awesome job in the final. All and all we had a great time with the boys brining home their share of the 1st place trophies up for grabs.
